Beginnings

It was easy to create my blog. I look forward to spending more time with it.

Congratulations on creating your blog. Occasionally we'll be commenting on your posts--just our way of chiming in on what you've written. If you run into problems, you might try checking out a few of your colleague's blogs for tips. We're all here to help each other, so look in on your neighbor and leave a comment. If you need more help, you can IM the 20 for 2.0 team by using the "Talk to the Team" meebo box on the blog, or send us an email.
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks for your support, Jim. Blogging is a new experience for me, so I'm learning as I go . . .
it's a whole new world outside of e-mail!

Hi Mary - Good to see your blog, hope to see you for real some time soon. My blog is Safari Means Journey...there are some bird pictures, but no cockatoos. Daleah

I have used IM before (not Meebo) so I wasn't surprised by the process.

IM is OK as a mode of communication, but doesn't replace in person!

I have created my Bloglines account and selected three feeds (NYT, NYT Book Review, CNN). I can see how RSS feeds could easily turn into information overload, but for news, weather, movie listings, or current research on a specific topic (for instance, graduate or post-graduate research, particularly in the sciences) they could be very useful.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving me a meebo message. It's more fun when I see that soemoen is reading it. Daleah

I am now listening to a QuickMix of my favorite radio stations on Pandora - Bach, Beethoven and Mozart - very cool!
